Forums - Gaming - A hillarious situation I witnessed in Wal Mart today...

10+ exact situations are probably happening right now.

walmart isn't that bad of a company. They have gotten a lot of other companies to stop bein as wasteful as they are. You know concentrated detergent in the small bottles? Wal-mart did that. They did it because detergent companies were diluting their product with almost 75% water and were in the practice of diluting it more and more to save money. They also encourage better packaging and green technology.

this is both funny and sad. this is the reason you should save and buy things for yourself if you can.

I just read the first post.

What a spoiled little brat of a kid. That convo should have gone like this

Mom - we're buying you a Wii
Kid - I don't want it!
Mom - well then screw you you spoiled little twerp. Now your getting that big fat nothing you've always wanted!

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

ok thats sales lady needs to be warned by management for giving improper information.

How many billions of the wiis sales are situations like this? Momm buys wii and a couple of games - say mario kart and some other thing. Kid's gaming potential ruined for life. This should be illegal.
And I think maybe Wii numbers should be adjusted down by 1 just because we know of this story. Anyone else who has seen this, come on out, so we can contiinue to adjust to the real numbers.

I don't know how, but I just knew before I started reading past the title this would be about sales person/parent/someone either convincing someone to get a Wii, or getting a Wii for someone who didn't want it... something like that.

I have no more to say, I just thought it was funny I had the gist of the thread before reading it.

Don't feel bad for that kid. He can jack a few lemonade stands and get a 360 soon. His friends probably have 360s.

OT:

Now, he can say 'Wii would like to play.'

=( i blame wii fit.

So I went to WalMart today to get some camping gear and figured i'd go in the gaming/electronics section to hunt for deals.

While there I couldn't help but notice a kid with his mother buying a videogame system. So I listened in at what they were saying and the conversation went something like this:

Kid: ...but mom I want an Xbox

Mom: No son, we are getting the Wii for you, its much better.

Kid: no it isn't, I want an xbox mom

Mom: The wii is much more powerful and cool... you will like it better.

Kid: but mom I don't want a wii...*starts crying*

Mom: Don't cry, they have the same games anyways. Wii is just better...right sales lady?

Sales lady: yes, much better

Mom: see, I told you. We are getting a wii.

Kid: *still crying as they proceed to checkout*

Now I found this quite funny, but at the same time it makes me wonder...this kid cleary wanted a 360, but mom bought him a wii. Why?

Is it becuase wii is family freindly with a clean image? Nah!

Is it because its cheaper and she didn't want to spend more than $269? Nah, xbox is 199...

Is it because she wants to play Wii Fit when hes not home? Bingo!

I don't know if I'm looking to start a discussion here, I just thought I'd share my gaming story of the day...any thoughts, comments?

If she really cared for him, she woulda gotten the brat a Virtual Boy, Atari Jaguar and Aliens vs. Predator for the Jaguar.
