Forums - Nintendo - What do you think the odds Are?

The Wii will become Nintendo's best selling hardware ever and depending on this generation's life span and what comes next gen, it very well may beat PS2's LTD.

There are still a ton of great games to come, different variations/colors, and of course a lot of price dropping to do. After all, Wii still needs to fully capitalize on the more core gamer audience.

Considering that on average it sells as many if not more than the other two consoles in this gen added together and is still selling at the same price since launch I'd say it's doing remarkably well. You get the odd blip here and there where it doesn't sell as much as the others added together but that all depends on software launches during that particular month. I really don't think Nintendo have too much to worry about lol.

Wii will definitely sell more than the n64 in the second half. They didn't even have a price drop yet and it's selling well. The Wii could end up above 100 million. But, I don't know if it can beat the ps2 in sells or not.

Oh and by the way, the N64 did sells over 30 million units, not by a lot though...

I think it'll stay strong for a while, and when it does start to slow down a price cut will help bring it back up

=D

GC sold 21m units, N64 sold 32m.

The Wii is in a slump now, but I highly doubt Nintendo won't exhaust every option to keep momentum at a stable level. As to how, they have Wii Sports----wait I mean momentum, but not dramatic hardware boosts.

So back to what I was saying. They have Wii Sports resort, Monser Hunter 3, Wii Fit Plus, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Galaxy 2, Wii colors, 2 potential PRICE DROPS, Wii bundles (not the Gamestop ones) and marketing money.
