Forums - Sony - 1st ever modnation racer trailer released

Graphics didn't look as great as I initially thought they were, but that could be just the video. Either way, it looks great!

Around the Network

This game looks like so much fun.

Too bad that it is so far away.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

This looks pretty cool, definately gonna keep it on my radar.

Er.......

Looks fun, but I'm hesitant because if my experience is like LBP I'll love it for a month and never pick it up again.

Around the Network

This looks better than Joyride on the Xbox 360 thats for sure, I love the track making.

That game looks freaking fun! If I had a PS3 I would buy it.

Past Avatar picture!!!

Don't forget your helmet there, Master Chief!

I don't think it's nostalgia what makes Mario platformers better then LBP... LPB is a great game, no denying there, but take away the level creator and you're left with what?

This looks heaps better then mario kart wii though.

Ps: This is a casual game XD

Dude thats like saying "Take Link out of Legend of Zelda and you have..?"

...uhh...ill just put my favorite quote of all time here.

"Welcome to Pain, the second of three...You have dealt the first...now deal with me!!"

if it was a psn $15-$20 game I would've been all over it but they are going for a $60 Blu-Ray release so I'll pass until it drops the price.

All the customization in the world don't mean a thing if the game controls poorly. LBP is floaty, imprecise and limited (run, jump, hang on to things) that makes it a boring platformer so it doesn't matter how awesome the created levels are.

Fair enough( I love LBP, but i wii admit i would enjoy some combat action)

The controls weren't impercise though they were floaty.  There are too many segments i wouldn't have been able to beat were the controls impercise.  Running and jumping comprises the vast majority of most platforming experiences.  Mario only does more because of powerups such as star and fire.  Sackboy got a gun and jetpack instead.

Sackboy can jump. Mario can jump, backflip, side jump, long jump, wall jump.

So? All those different forms of jumping only have two purposes: killing goombas and getting on platforms.
