Google: Windows is prehistoric, its now all about being online

Google's head honcho's have fired some shits at Windows while hyping up their own upcoming OS. They have suggested that Windows is becoming archaic (extremely old, prehistoric) as more and more people spend their computer time on a web browser. Let the battle commence! 


But Page couldn't resist taking some veiled shots at Windows. Without mentioning Windows, he suggested Microsoft's operating system is becoming archaic as people spend more and more of their computer time in a Web browser.

"The way we are think about it is if you are living your life online, maybe you don't want everything (on computers) that came from Eric's generation," Page, 36, said as he smiled at the 54-year-old Schmidt.

What does Sony have to do with it?  They launched an OP now???  Sony are nowhere in PC land, and all of their machines come with Windows as standard.

Windows 7 will win a few plaudits and win quite a few (non fanboy) people over, Apple is only on Apple, and Google is being adopted by hardware manuufacturers... for netbooks only, netbooks being used as web browsers mainly. 

People want Windows to suddenly vanish... guess what?  It wont.

It won't be sudden.
