Im sure to have missed stuff but there the obvious things.

Things could obviously be patched into the game, and Gran Turismo is taking forever to release.

Exactly.

If night racing didnt make it in GT5 (which it will) id be pissed.

Hmmm...that is an interesting conundrum. They have announced the 24 hour Le Mans race is in the game right? How can it be 24 hours without light cycle changes.

As for rain, do races(besides rally) take place in rain?

Does GT5 have night racing and weather system?

Yes.

I think I saw Le Mans in the trailer or in screens... how are they going to do that if they haven't got a day/night cycle?

Lack of weather is very unambitious though.

Not surprised by lack of rally; it would only draw comparisons with GT5 which has the official WRC licensing...

If this is true, then it will be a dent in the feeling of immersion of the game. Actually they could do a 24 le mans only by day, GT 4 did it, but that was last gen, and there have been a lot of racing games that have since then incorporated night/day cycles and dynamic weather changes.
Hopefully they can mend it by the time of release, but I don't think that this will deter most of the Forza fans that are waiting for this game.
To me, personally, is just another reason to buy GT 5, not that i'm against Forza, i've got Forza 2 and enjoyed it, but GT feels like a better sim to me.
