Simple?  Depending on their engine, these things are not necessarily simple.  If it was a matter of turning off the sun as a light source, I am sure they would have done it.

If these things are not included with the disk and come as DLC the arcade 360 crowd will be double screwed if they dont have memory space for the DLC from disk 2 and/or the XBL marketplace. this will definately make some people mad enough not to purchase this title i believe.

Of course it would be good. But as well as the features ( 100 customisable multi player features ) the game looks freaking beautiful. Look at it.

Yes, we all know it looks nice.

But, not having Night time for Le Mans could harm the game.

Not having weather, could also harm the game.

Rally i suppose isnt really a much needed function... but weather and day/night cycles are.

Really?  The developers obviously didn't think they were important enough to squeeze out other features.  Perhaps they don't know what makes a good racing game.
