the psn version is almost guaranteed to have less lag than live counterpart.

im gonna download it later.

Troll much? Do you really believe 90 percent of the foolishness you post?

OT: It wouldn't let me on at all last night on LIVE. I did notice the message that they were adding servers.

Not our fault that the 360 version was immensely more popular than they had imagined. They were busy like crazy all day yesterday adding servers.

Stupid 3rd party servers...P2P FTW.

Its not like the game is doing 30 vs 30 battles...

Actually, P2P is why Gears 2 is broken as it is.

I don't plan on playing many more online games (if any at all) unless they have dedicated servers like PSN.

Isn't it just stating that you have to play on the "SERVERS NEAREST TO YOU" to reduce lag on PSN? I think thats the important part of the statement no? Maybe the fathere the server location from you, the more the lag? Thats what the ad makes it sound like.......

This.

The ad is badly worded. It doesn't say reduce lag by playing on the PSN - it says reduce lag by playing on the servers that are nearest to you, whilst playing the game on the PSN.

Most PSN games (at least multi-plats for sure) use P2P as well....

Only ones that use dedicated servers are Resistance, Killzone, and Socom that I can think of off hand.  But I do agree.  P2P kills Gears 2 because of the host advantage it gives.  Whenever I am host, I get some slight host advantage, but I have a good enough connection that everyone is nearly equal.  Unfortunately Gears of War 2 picks the worst possible hosts 90% of the time....

its fake, but i think its true, about psn having less lag.

Street Fighter IV lag like hell on the PSN.  I only purchase multiplat Fighting and JRPG games for the PS3 because I like the PS3 controllers better then the 360 because of the stupid D-Pad.  I might have to change that with Tekken 6 because of connection problems I have with the PSN.  On a side note Killzone 2 rarely have any lags though.

Played the demo, I did not notice any serious lag... sweet game tho.
Just game shared it from a friend, so if anyone wants to meet up for a game or two let me know.

Just first party PS3 exclusives.  And even then I'm not sure they all do, but yes Warhawk did as well.
