I don't believe that their is such a thing as fanboys, my reasoning is:

1. People create alt accounts or just normal accounts to get people riled up and thrive and pissing people off.  They don't believe most of what they say usually.  

2. A person is hired by a company like MS or Sony to talk up their system and say FUD about the oppossing systems.  They also usually do not believe what they say, but its their job.

I can think of around 20 people on this forum that come accross as being horrid fanboys but really they are either troublemakers or paid to say their crap.  So as you can see their really aren't any true fanboys.  Their are however biased people (like myself for instance) but they aren't fanboys.

I am a fan boy myself. I love games. I am a huge fan of many game companies. A fan boy is nothing bad.We should think of a better name for them. As I do not see anything wrong with my version of "fan boys". I guess we are in agreement on that part. I do wonder though, do MS,Sony,Nintendo, etc really pay people to do that?

hmm how about fanbots?  Cause they don't actually believe what they say so that makes their actions like robots lol.  

And i remember seeing an article in a thread here about companys paying people to become well known on multiple forums and talk up one specific console and spread FUD about the others.

Fanbots hm that actually sounds fitting. But, what happens when we have robots that are able to fully play games. Hmm, sorry got off topic.

Oh believe me, there are die hard, unpaid fanboys. Crazzyman springs to mind. I don't believe that he was an alt of someone else as most alts made to rile up people are formulated poorly or backed up poorly. Crazzy's thinking, while still flawed was at least supported and quite eloquently put for someone from Latvia. Also a reason why I don't believe he was an alt - his spelling and grammar. He made errors unlike anyone else on the forum and they had a certain rythm to them, they weren't just placed to keep appearance up.
