The only reason why I haven't bought RE4 is because it's still 50 euros here... That's a rip off because euros are worth a lot more then dollars... And you could probably get it for 10 dollars in the us

Agreed. I for one don't care about the HD visuals in RE5. Sick to death of HD this and that. Give me a good and intuitive interface and interesting characters and I'll bite.

also for those bashing RE4's storyline saying "it had nothing to do with the main story", it really wasnt supposed to. |
well I don't understand why it wasn't...when RE0 - RECVX were very story-driven (5 tried to recapture the old story roots and did somewhat decent imo)...and your claim "it really wasnt supposed to." is this just your conclusion or did someone from the RE development team say this because I never heard it
Samus aran. Can't you get it used or something. You would enjoy that game

I played the REmake after beating RE4 and I loved RE4 no less. The game was awesome.
It may have had less to do with Resident Evil in retrospect, but RE5 dealt with much less...much much less.
In fact, RE5 was the weakest in what I have played so far (RE 0, 1,2, 4,5, Code Veronica).Still liked playing it though.

trust me if Capcom made a true sequel to Resident Evil Code Veronica X with PS1 graphics I would still buy it and enjoy it as much as the ones pre RE4

I'm going to buy some games tommorow, so I'm going to check it out as well. I know I would enjoy a great game like that. I still remember being totally scared when playing RE1 when I was a little kid. I know RE4 will probably not scare me, but if I can find it cheap I'll play it late at night to make it a little scarier :)

i dont think im the only one who came to this conclusion. yes i do admit it was a conclusion. based on how much of the story didnt have to do with the main plotline, i figured the stroy wasnt supposed to be directly tied to the plotline.
im not trying to say that RE4's story was the best or something, it wasnt, but it didnt totally suck. in fact it seemed easier for new players to the RE series. now they dont have to know the entire RE plotline to understand the game.
lol at people saying RE 5 didn't have the same horror as RE 4. Believe me, RE 4 is not scary at all unless you are a little kid. Also, the co-op is the best thing about RE 5. There's nothing like playing my favorite franchise with a friend.
As for the storyline between the two. RE 4 was the weakest. Especially with the Salazar character, he was ridiculous. RE 4 was more comedy/action adventure. At least RE 5 was a little bit more serious.

Yes sir. Co-op game of the year. I had always wanted a RE co op game for some time, and this game delivered.
