Well, to be honest, it costs something like $150 to fix a PS3. I would probably buy a new one because mine is a 60 Gig Backward Compatible one so going out and spending $400 on a new one would be fucking stupid.

I am confused, I'm gonna have to pay $150 to get them to fix My 80GB BC PS3.

^_^

@ Xxain

because of the massive adjustments.

Do you mean die as in my console breaks or dies as in the PS3 in general dies and Sony leaves the console business?

If dies as in console breaks, I would probably just pay the $100+ (forget what the price is) since my PS3 is my dedicated DVD and BluRay player and I've been slowly converting to BluRay. There's only one exclusive on the way I care about (Uncharted 2) so I could live without the games but I can't live without my movies!

The only thing that would worry me is that I might not have my 4USB ports and BC when I get the PS3 back.

If dies as in Sony leaves the console business, yeah, just isn't going to happen.  Just because it's in third doesn't mean it's a failure.

@ Xxain

They were never gone XD

...........ur kidden

I would stop playing games, because nothing will ever be more technologically advanced than the trey. It substitutes by pc. and you can run the Windows on it......no more games if it dies. No disrespect to WII

LOL, how sad and wrong can someone be?

I think the PS3 is dead stuff is a bit pre-mature...

I give the PS3 until the end of the current year to outsell 360 on a week-to-week basis. If that doesn't happen, it will become another GameCube (30-40 million total sold lifetime)...

Until then we should all remain calm... Sony is probably dropping price in fall and this will help sales. The question is: Will 360 and/or Wii also drop price taking away the advantage of such a move, and will the Sony price drop be enough to attract interested console buyers.
