Forums - Nintendo - PES 2010 Wii releasing at the same time as other versions in Q4 2009

@ arsenal009

Pro Evo 2009 fixed those things. It supports classic controller, has a multiplayer option and ohter details. But I get your point and I agree. I like Pro Evolution for Wii, but definitely made the game more complicated.

I still haven't found a friend to play the Wii version because they don't like it at all. They appreciate the new way to control the game, but it has a long learning curve and they just want to play and not "learn" a different control.

Pro Evolution 2009 even supports classic controller for those who don't want to learn the new controls. This is a sign that not everybody liked them.

With that said, I really appreciate what Konami has done on the Wii and for me are one of the best third parties on the console. (Elebits, Dewy, Kokorinpa, MLB Power Pros, Castlevania and this)

On topic:

I don't know if I'll buy this game, I like you can, "AGAIN", control your free kicks like the older games like ISSS 64. But I just bought 09 and don't want to spend again on the same game with few upgrades. If it has the mexican narrators I may consider it selling it and buy this one, if not I'll pass.

Sell it now before it drops in value on Half.com and put that money toward the new version... The steep decline in price of sports games is why I only buy 1 from each series that I like per console generation, usually at the end when they are dirt cheap but with PES I made an exception...

Yep, but first I need to know if the mexican narrators are included, they are so funny and a thousand times better than the Spanish guys of 2008

Yeah, the Spanish guy is really boring, i was expecting more. I'm guessing the Spanish speaking commentators I'm used to hearing in Canada are prob the Mexican ones then? Like they talk really fast & get excited over everything.

Depends where you hear them. If you hear them in "Fox Sports in Spanish" (I know that exists in the US, not sure in Canada), they're Argentinian

Woa! Argentinian would be cool too! If they include argentinian narrators I'd buy it too and keep both versions XD

Nice, they wont kill this the way they did with 09. The screwed up release of 09 really hurt the sells...

I have some PC mods that add fan-made Argentinian commentators to the game. They're really cool and fun, though of course you see it's fan made and not official. A Nelson-Fabbri duo done officialy by Konami would be the best thing to ever happen to PES

it will still be crushed by the ps3 and 360 versions

It's too bad becasue the Wii version is better.

it's not better, its a different experience

Nope it's better.  In what way are the HD versions better?  Why do you bother going into Wii threads when you just spend your time saying that the best games on the system aren't better than their HD counterparts?  Are HD graphics that important that they overule the vastly superior gameplay in the Wii version to any other version.

It will be hilarious when next gen The PS4 and Xbox next have motion/ir controllers and people who have been saying that the controls on Wii aren't as good are singing their praises.  For certain genres for example, most sports, RTS, FPS, TPS etc. IR is vastly superior.  For driving and flying motion is approximately equal, and for platformers and fighters traditional controllers generally are better.  If you don't agree, I suggest you go play your Wii and PS3 or Xbox more because I have played ALL of the top PS3 and Wii games this gen and many of the Xbox ones and there simply is no getting around the fact that good controls on Wii make tired concepts vastly superior and much deeper experiences.
