PS3 is holding up better than I thought given the recent adjustments, 360 is ok, Wii is waaaay down

Depressing sales all around. Summer is boring when it comes to sales.

Disasteful PS3 and PSP sales

And as a result, Wii market share fell back to 48.7% (i was surpirsed it stayed at 48.8% after all the adjustements that took place yesterday).

Very low numbers all around I say. We were spoiled last year I think, seeing one of the greatest years (in sales) we might ever see!

Elaine: I will never understand people

Jerry: They're the worst.

Pretty crap Wii sales, and shockingly low PS3 sales. I never thought it'd go below 30K in the Americas, but it's dangerously close now. Recession at full impact on the industry, or just people opting out on console purchases so they have vacation money?

It's the summer dip. Really low sales all around really, with the PS3 seeing the biggest drop, more than likely due to the high price point. It would be interesting to see a break down of this partciular months sales on 360, i'd bet a higher majority of the also low sales would be arcade models, and the shaved off ~10k for the 360 would be the typical pro/elite sales that people are putting on hold due to saving money for vacation or whatnot. Overall decent sales all around except for the wii really. With no great games in sight for any console though, I don't see much pushing hardware back up anytime soon.

So, that makes it two weeks in a row for the PS3 below 100K worldwide..
