Forums - Sony - Sony Not Playing 'Catch Up' with Xbox Live Anymore

Speaking from someone who has both XBL and PSN accounts (me), PSN has a hell of alot of "catching" up to do.

That's about all I could say on this...  There is a whole lot more, even to the free XBOX Live Silver, than to the PSN.

Bzzz wrong! 8 vs. 8 might have been better in the Dreamcast era but here in 2009 PSN wipes the floor with XBL.

Nice of you to inform me of you being wrong before making your incorrect post.

Neither PSN nor XBL is responsible for how many players can be supported.  That's a developer decision.  XBL can support just as many gamers via dedicated servers as PSN can.  XBL has a few games which use dedicated servers already:  Frontline: Fuel of War, Left 4 Dead, EA games, BF1943 now.  So you see, it is not a limitation of XBL at all   Glad I could educate you on this matter.

Why don't you educate me about any online FPS for 360 that even has 1/4 the amount of players on a map that Mag does.

You might be right it may not be XBL it could simply be that the 360 just can't handle it. ;)

Yeah, Mag is great, it...  oh, wait...  That game isn't out yet.

Why don't YOU educate me about any game for Sony that has half as many players as Halo 7?

I'm sorry, I was under the impression that MAG was not released yet.  Tell me how it does after it is released, would you?

Oh and you are wrong again.  The 360 is not limited either.  It's simply a developer decision.  Ever wonder why games that are made for 4v4, 6v6, 8v8 sell many more copies than games that are 32v32 or 30v30?  Because the audience is much larger and that's why developers are targetting it instead.

And would you quit using winks?  Everyone knows you aren't actually kidding

You know it's not yet been released on PC either, says more about the developers than the hardware.

As for the OP, PSN is still behind Live in many ways but when it's free and the opposition isn't then that's fair enough.
