Oh really? How did throwing work on GC? NPC felt quite intuitive to me for throwing as well.

i do think the pikmin franchise has a chance, but the NPC sales are not encouraging. These games cannot gather great sales with a greater base and lower price.
in the end, i think pikmin falls in the same category of fire emblem and battalion wars with a good base, but difficult to expand.
im just hoping for a solid third pikmin game.
Yea, these will hopefully build more hype. Though I'm sure nintendo wanted million sellers, they are doing good.
Pikmin 2 for Wii is not yeat available in USA, but just from the sales we can see Pikmin has some new fans! : )
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
i wasn't planning on getting the npc pikmin since i already have the gamecube versions of both (i might get pikmin 2 npc, though) but i'm still glad that they are out. the npc games are raising awareness of pikmin with people who never owned a gamecube (which by now is i nthe tens of millions at least) and hopefully it will raise pikmin 3's sales once myamoto gets off his lazy ass and makes the dev team bigger for that game.
come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1
you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312
yes, this is vonboy's alt account. i can't log into my original account, and i'm not sure if i will ever be able to.

Considering they had next to zero promotion, i think that's pretty good.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
I may pick up NPC Pikmin at some point. I never played the first one, but I had Pikmin 2 on the GameCube. It was a lot of fun.

The throwing is ok. But you have to run around with olimar to do things. The NPC makes
the GC version look worse. The NPC is superior and I srongly suggest you pick this than
the GC version even if you have on add it to your collection or sell the GC version. Though
the controling the pikmin with the D pad was worse then the GC but you'll get used to it/

Though I like he idea of new fans. Though I do see lots of pikmin related names on youtube
