Forums - General - Top 5 favourite films of all time?

No particular order:
Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Gandalf in it, how can you not like this movie)
The Matrix Trilogy (The first one was the best, but still enjoyed the premise)
The Shawshank Redemption (Awesome acting, awesome story)
The Sixth Sense (Surprise is the key word here)
Star Wars Series (The first Trilogy were the best)

5 is too limited, so some honourable mentions:
Schindlers List (only a few movies can make me cry)
Bruce Almighty (So many laughs on so many levels)
Almost all the Pixar movies (Its Pixar)
Shrek Series (Adult cartoon laughs)
Pretty Woman (Gotta have that date movie in there)
While you were sleeping (Another date movie for the ladies)
Die Hard Series (Bruce Willis, mans man)
Lethal Weapon (Ha!!)
Harry Potter Series (The books are better)
Transformers (Giant Robots, who cares about the story!!!!)
So many movies....

I really loved The Girl Who Leapt Through Time...

same

i have it on DVD, watched it the other day, seen it about 5 times now, all the films in my top 5, i have seen atleast 5 times.

Maybe i'm a lot older than you but i know i've watched my favourite movies 30-50 times. I wil watch Alien/Aliens, The Thing, Halloween, Crouching Tiger plus many others at least once a year.

I'm pretty old I recently turned 37 but I can honestly say that I never watched any movie 30-50 times.  But I easily watched many of my favorite movies over ten times.  Also my love for movies is still growing so if I'm blessed with a long life I will eventually see some movies 30-50 times.

Fantastic List!!! all the bold ones are ones that i most definitely agree with. Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove, and 2001 Space Odyssey are ones i completely forgot about. I guess i just didn't remember Stanley Kubrick at all!!!

Forest Gump and anything Pixar makes.

I can't really think of many films right now...
