If you look at the frontpage sales by region, all the adjustments have been in the EU region. PS3 vs 360 in Jap and US is still the same.

The PS3 had the same kind of adjustment a while back (march'ish?) where they went from being 8.5m behind to 7.9m or so. So i guess it evens out.

as in the TV series? We had it but our mods changed and no longer carry it. It didn't sell that well. I think we sold like 5 copies out of hundred we received. We sent a lovely 3000 movies and TV series last week to claims. It was an interesting day.

Oh yea totally.. :0) I bet SONY r kicking themselves in shin for dumping blu ray into the ps3... It would have been more conducive to make billions from the gaming end then to try n control distribution media...

I am surprised people are buying it tobegin with, it's overpriced, and the 360 is a better value. The only thing keeping it alive is the brand. And don't bring the exclusives excuse either, since ps3 fans don't buy them as much as multiplatform games.

This is a lost that Sony had to have, they are sleeping giants, but their arragance has kept them from competing the right way. I expect the PS4 to be a much better selling console.

 

Not quite true. After I factor in everything I want from my games console (wireless connection, online play, a hard drive) the PS3 is just as good value as the 360 and I get a Blu-Ray player (as well as, IMO, having the better exclusives which I do buy!). Obviously the 360 is better value to the mass market who are not all interested in the same things as me (and those who are but don't understand that buying lots of cheaper things separately can cost the same as buying one expensive thing). However, this will change when Sony lower the price.

If Sony wants to shift the UK market, they need to do more than actions, I know it sounds silly, but they need to get good word on the street, they need oto make the PS3 cool.

The 360 cut in march 08 ( I think) did naff all, thats because all Microsoft did was cut the price, it wasn't enough, Then come christmas, they launched a massive advertising campaign, NXE, and basically tried to reinvent the 360.

I hope you get what I mean, If sony simply cut the price of the PS3 and bundle GT, it won't be enough, Sony need to pull their finger out and do more.

I agree with everything you say, with the exception that I don't think Sony will be stealing back continential EU as much as inviting them further in at a lower pricepoint. :p
