The easiest way to become rich in the US is to become a MD...

And I like it that way. If doctors in the US get paid more then anywhere else in the world, where do you think the best doctors in the world will go?

Sure if you believe that overpaying for everything makes it automatically better but that's flawed logic in my book.  Also with that logic I'm pretty sure anyone in sales loves doing business with you.

Your right. The best football payers don't play in the NFL. The best Tennis players don't play on the ATP.

I mean, money never brings in the best.

Come on, if I was a hospital, and paying 400K a year for a doctor, I want the best, and the best want to work for me. That's how life works in the real world.

They say that  a sucker is born every minute I'm guessing you are that sucker.  By the way their a few lemons that I would like to sell to you since money is never a concern in your book.

Let me see if I get this right.

if you and I were hosting a party, and wanted a singer to sing, and you had 100 bucks to hire one, and I had 1 million, you don't think i could get a better singer?

For one million, I could get ANY signer in the world. For 100, you could not get a great local band.

Money buys options. If you don't think so, you're just naive.

If you think that something is automatically better only because you spend more money on it you are naive also.  Like I said before I'm pretty sure anyone that is in sales has a field day when you come arround.  With more people like you arround I'm pretty sure Circuit City would have never went out of business.

I don't think you get how this works...

If I have $3000 to spend on a TV, it does not mean I am going to spend $1000 on a 30 inch LDC. I am not all the sudden some idiot that has no clue how to tell a good item from a bad one.

If you have 500 to spend on a TV, you might have 30 to select from. If I have $3000, I have 200 to select from. Through research, I am sure I will end up with a TV far better then any TV you had to chose from.

Money buys options. You still need to be smart enough to make the right choice. Not paying the money, doesn't even give you the chance.

So back on point. If you were running a clinic and posted an ad for a doctor at 30K a year, the quality of doctors you would have to chose from is far less then if I posted a position paying 200K. Just because I am paying 200K, does not mean I would hire one who was only worth 30K

You can think otherwise all you want, but you would be wrong.

I'm just waiting for Chris Hu to reply that you are an idiot while misspelling along the way.

Not only are you a sucker with money you are also a grammar Nazi nice combination I'm pretty sure you are a real asshole in person.

Their nothing wrong with being rich or acquiring money but most rich people are totally out of touch with reality.

They are as in touch with reality as you are. They just have a different reality.

I am sure you eat at least one meal a day (probably 3 or more). Most people in the world don't get 1 a day. They would say you are totally out of touch with reality.

Reality is the world you live in, and as un PC as it might be, we don't all live in the same world.

An asshole would be someone who insults others who disagree with them. Get out of your parent's basement.

Something else to consider....

We spend WAY more then anyone else per captia when it comes to developing new technologies and cures.

Will this continue with socialized healthcare or will it drop off drastically like every other rich socialized nation... and if it does.  How worse off is the World?

Would more uniform US treatment lead to overall poorer treatment as cures found are pushed back years and years... and possibly never funded?

Gentlemen I do believe I called down the specter of socialism. I expect SOME kind of reaction!

@sguy78 Last time I checked the majority of houses in the US don't have basements but you wouldn't know that since you live in your own universe keep on drinking that Kool-Aid.

Yea, but you ended it with "Booga booga booga!", and I just picture the old guy from UP! saying it, so all I can do is laugh :)

Really, did you do research on the amount of basements there are in this country? If your parents did have one, I'm sure you would be living there.

Well, that's fair. All right! I guess I've said all I need to say. Do excuse me, gentlemen.
