I used to browse mainly on firefox. However, Safari 4 beta was rather neat: it rendered pages much faster, the tabs on top ala chrome were a treat and while you could call it useless eyecandy, the graphic bookmarks were fun to use.

However, the goddamn thing chokes on gifs like a whore on dicks and it randomly tosses out spinning balls of death which it interrupted a log & capture session and screwed my morning scheduled which prompted my post.

By the way, chrome for macos coming anytime soon? Any feedback about opera?

Opera is a nice browser.  It's basically a middle-weight in terms of performance/speed (though very speedy js handling).  I used it for a while and wasn't disappointed.  In the end I went back to Firefox.  Opera has a lot of nifty widgets that make it pretty fun to experiment with but Firefox's plugin library is still too nice to live without IMO.

well it doesn't take rocket science to tell IE 8 is worse browser out there.

annd i am not ubuntu only, but we have a mac there too, i got a notebook DV2000 with vista .

the props i ever give to microsoft was office 2007 and then they killed it with 2010 technical preview.

outlook using old HTML Rendering, everything looks like only a facelifts with more aero eye candy.
