The game is pretty damn fun, but I will be damned if Expert mode isn't a real ball buster.  I can play it on normal with Free Play on thinking there is no way in hell anyone can do this without dying.  I watched the top dog on the leaderboard for Raiden 2's expert on arcade clip, and the guy must have been a robot.  He died 3 times pretty quick on the third stage, but the guy was flawless until that point.  My first ranked attempt at Raiden 2 Expert mode on Arcade netted me around 1,000,000(the top is 9,000,000) which put me at #27(there are only 54 people on the list).

Anybody got any tips for how to get good scores and stay alive on Expert?  I already know about the slave and fairy.

Also, I wish there was online for this game.

The X360. A damn fine game at that.

lol...I beat the game on expert but I cheated.

Last stage is impossible and you only get 2 lives...if you die you have to restart from beginning of the stage.

What I did after dying for 2 hours straight is pushed second player start on the second contorller as I was about to die and that allowed me to continue with player 1 where I died. I did that 2-3 times until I beat the stage... cause you have unlimited continues, just cant use them unless you are playing 2 player game.

Otherwise i dont think its possible for a human player to beat that without dying on expert...

I beat all three of the games on expert while playing on very easy, bullets go slow enough for you to dodge. Bombs also come in quite handy. Did not know you could do the two player thing.

I also used the slave of the fastest ship. Very powerful rapid fire and very small collision area.

Sadly no...as far as I know I dont think you can look at top scoring vids in this game like in Ikaruga on xbox live. I could be wrong.

I would kill for online co-op.

Yeah, you can save clips.  Go to the leaderboards and most of the high rankers have clips of their play throughs.

only Raiden game I have is Raiden Trad for the SNES, love that game
