Forums - Sony - What LCD should I get for the PS3

My brother in California has a SKU PS3 and a 46 inch Sony Bravia while I play my original 80gig with a SDTV (which is rather annoying me because when I play Disgaea 3, there seems to be something wrong with the picture) Now I'm wondering what kind of brand would be good for the PS3 (Well I know Sony is a good one for obvious reasons) but also I want one that doesn't cost too much (and No plasmas btw)

Me and my dad just picked up a pair of these for our PCs:

LG 1080p monitors with a 2ms response time and 50,000:1 contrast ratio. They have VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs for only $229 (you can also get one with a matter finish for $219). Excellent bang for your buck.

Granted, they have no speakers, but you could probably buy one of these for your PC and run your ps3 through that, thus using the PC speakers as speakers for your ps3.

If you have the money to invest in somethign larger scale, I'd definitely go with a Bravia like your brother or a Samsung HDTV.

Try Samsung or LG TV's they are just as good as the average sony. Of course if you are willing to buy the best TV and don't care about price then you could go with the latest sony models.

I have a 40" Full HD samsung and when I compared it to the sony's equivalent model (which was 300€ more expensive) The difference was so minimal that I actually tought the samsung's cheaper TV was even better. I got mine for 800€ while the sony would have been around 1100€. Some sony models blur when picture changes and it might hinder some fast tempoed games, usually the cheapest models.

i have an "old" 46 inch 656 samsung and its a blast play ps3 in it... get a 5.1 sound system!

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

5.1 system is a must! What is your budget, and how big do you want? I would personally suggest getting a Vizio, but Samsung would be my second choice, the lower end Sony tvs tend to have a worse picture than the previous brands I mentioned. Hey, at Walmart, you can get a decent 5.1 system for under $200.00

Knowing your price range would be helpful.

Alright about $400-$700 would be suffice

What size?
Also, remember that a lot of the larger electronics retailers have a 90 return policy on TVs. so if you try one out and you don't like it, return it for another brand.
