The fact is, Nintendo only cares about maximising profit and that's what will happen with this plan. You're clueless really, Nintendo did a market research on it and they made the right decision according to that market research. Now don't ask me for proof of a market research because that's what all companies do... Have you done a market research to see what brings the highest profit? If you can answer yes on this questen then you have me.

 

Ps: Most people will buy wii motion+ anyway for Zelda:wii. I expect 7-8M sales for that game only. Nintendo will start supporting wiimotion+, but they will wait to let wii sports resort do it's job first.

Did Pilotwings interfere with the sales of Super Mario 64? Technically in this case, a "launch title" other than Wii Sports Resort for Wii Motion Plus would add variety, which as far as I know has never been considered a bad thing.

 

And I am SEVENTEEN years old, hmph.

Red steel 2, the grinder, virtua tennis 2009, grand slam tennis, Tiger woods 10.

Not saying it's much, but you said no 3rd party support. Hey, that's already more games supporting wiimotion+ then the balance board!

There's not an awful lot of things you can do with the balance board compared to wiimotion+
You can say all you want, but this thing will be a succes for Nintendo. I'll make a stupid counter reaction anyway :p

I bet Nintendo invested billions of Yen based on only that!

Seriously, bad comparison. That's like saying economy never changes and if Nintendo made other games it would be too hard to make the money back on such an investment. What games could they have made anyway that support Wiimotion+? Nintendo isn't really keen on making new IP's if you haven't noticed.

Who cares about Japan. They'll buy wii sports resort and 3 wii motion+'s anyway...

Anyway, Japan has monster hunter 3 and wii sports resort. Nintendo is fine in Japan for the rest of the year.

Anyway don't know if red steel 2 is coming out in Japan, but why wouldn't they like it? It's no fps anymore really. Lot's of samurai swordfighting. Don't they like that kind of stuff?

So stand alone WM+ units sold almost 1:1 with copies of WSR. Not a surprising figure seen as anyone that wants to play WSR is forced to use WM+.

anyone who doesn't says that 600k IN A WEEK is not a success should shut upand face reality. Japan is a small market that is becoming more and more portable due to their lifestyles. 600 for a small peripherial and lile 300k for a game is pretty huge overthere.
