Forums - Nintendo - I really wanna be excited for Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

I really do want to be excited but I already have Diamond, Pearl and Platinum and I feel complete.  I'm not in the mood to buy nostalgia.

Even watching this didn't get me excited.  It made be bewildered.. while are people actually excited for this.. while are they claiming it will be better than D/P/Pt.. why should I even bother.  I mean, I've bought a couple of remakes this gen but I just can't get over the fact that my favorite game of all time is getting a DS remake.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.

Discuss perhaps?

Pixel Art can be fun.

I never had Pokemon Gold/Silver so I'm excited for it.

I'm happy you are.  I hope you enjoy it.  I'm a huge fan of the series but I can't found a reason to be happy about this, though.

What about having any pokemon following you?

Maybe you prefer D/P/P now? IDK XD

I'm just half-excited for this game because it's on par with D/P/P in terms of roster (but that's just me). So you're not alone since G/S/C were my favorite too XD.

You are growing out of Pokemon, that's your problem. It happens when you turn eleven years old, that's perfectly normal. So don't worry.

Quiet, you!

I think the opposite is true.  I love D/P/Pt but I can't stand to see this.

@Manuelf A feature from Yellow isn't enough.

@Old Rock Maybe that's it.  I don't want to go back to Johto after seeing Hoenn. Orre and Sinnoh.

To be honest, this happened around the time Firered and Leafgreen came out.. the formula changed so much after G/S/C and R/S/E that it wasn't the same and I couldn't enjoy Kanto in the same light.

I dunno I think G/S were the pinnacle of the Pokemon series, so remakes are definitely something to be excited for.

I can't wait for this game. My Togekiss following me is sooooo awesome sounding.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

That's what happens when the nostalgia lens are off.
