The only instance of "heavy" bundling took place over last holiday season in NA. Even then, it was only the more expensive SKU that included the game. The game managed to sell 2 million up until that point worldwide.

And I take it you don't trust our numbers?

I'm just puzzled as to how it managed to sell 2 million in the US without ever breaking the NPD top10...

What determines if a game is AAA? Reviews. End of story. That does not include aggregated scores (metacritic), as they are in my opinion not reliable. Aggregated scores tend to include bias reviews as well and they may be the reason why games like fable 2 have scored 80+%. It's pathetic.

Just wanted to mention that it was heavily bundled in Europe as part of the PS3 "Starter Pack"

An AAA title is a game that brings something remarquable in videogames : new gameplay , ideas or a new concept ...
Many games in 2009 would have been AAA titles in 2000 (for exemple)

I never said it sold 2 million in the US.  I said it sold 2 million worldwide.  On numerous occasions.  Like the bolded.

I did forget about this bundle.  However, this was one of several bundles, was it not?  All of which were well over the normal MSRP of a ps3.  They had the Resistance + MotorStorm bundle, the GT5P bundle, various Blu-Ray bundles, the MGS4 bundle, F1 bundle, etc. etc.

I mean, given all the bundles out there, I can't see one game or another having enjoyed too much of a boost in sales as a result.

Now the MotorStorm bundle in North America, THAT bundle added substantially to the games sales.  It was the only bundle around and the more popular SKU due to BC, so it sold a ton.

My misake. Regardless, its convenient that the bulk of Uncharted's ostensive sales come from the one region we dont get regular data for, hey this is seemingly a trend for most PS3 exclusives....

Have you seen the weekly PAL charts which come out weekly for all major European nations? Sometimes they even give out numbers explicitly. Its also very convenient for the PS3 to have a bigger userbase in PAL isn't it?

Tease.

AAA must have an awesome singleplayer and an awesome multiplayer ofline or online.
If a game doesn't have multiplayer it needs a legendary singleplayer to be AAA.
