Forums - Microsoft - Adds to Last.fm if not a premium subscriber!

No matter if you have gold or silver, you'll be plauged with ads and commercials within the newly anticipated feature Last.fm. Microsofts Christina DeRosa, one of the managers of XBLA explains how it will work;

Silver users will be able access what we're considering a trial period of three hours a month, which comes with video advertising.

Gold users will have unlimited ad-supported access, so they can use it 24 hours a day. There will also be a premium offering on a subscription basis from Last.fm, that will be commercial free and will also have more sophisticated personalization features, like Loved Tracks.

This upon the news of Sliverlight implemented ads on the 360 dashboard, has stired up some critizism among 360 users as of late.

Around the Network

o noez

oh noes

well if it gets too annoying can stream it from pc to 360 anyway

Seriously Who cares. It's the same way for the Last FM service online. You pay $3 a month to get no ads, and other extras. Same way you pay for a Netflix subscription to stream. If this was on any other platform it would be the same exact way. Last FM and Netflix weren't going to do it out of the kindness of their hearts

Once again you put an extra 'd' on there.

If ads are what it takes to make a service free, so be it. I am sure that people would love a free Netflix stream service that had ads.
