(PM me if you want a suggestion about mapping the 3rd item you're collecting, you'll REALLY have to think "outside the game" to get what to do with this one!)

:)

Omg i just did what you mean, but i did it accidental... the game's puzzles are GENIOUS!!!

Here's my colleague's take on the game:

I just got the game today. I'm really looking forward to playing it (the wife just jacked my DS so I might not get a shot at it for a day or two).

This game is really a mixed bag for me. I like using the stylus most of the time but during parts of the game, Link ends up doing things you don't want him to do, rolling in particular. The constant traveling is still there from WindWaker and while it's not quite as annoying as before, it's still pretty boring.

I do have to give kudos to the dev team for finding extremely interesting ways to use the DS functions though. It seems as if they dug into every bag of tricks they could find and then created a few new ones to boot.

Yelling at big-eared creatures FTW.

Edit: OMG, I just fought the giant snail/crab boss. Pure. Genius. That use of the DS screens was great.

Rolling on accident is easy to avoid. just don't push the stylus all the way to the end of the screen to run. I finished the game a couple days ago and I'll write up a full review for it soon.

Rolling on accident doesn't happen that often but it can be annoying. The same goes for the auto-jump. Sometimes you just want to skirt the edge of a cliff and not barrel off the damn thing.

Overall, the controls are pretty good though. They sure could be a lot worse.

Yeah, you have to be careful around cliff edges, but that's been in every Zelda game since A Link to the Past. I agree they aren't perfect, but in many ways they are more precise than a D-Pad. Overall I liked them better.

The Ocean Temple is getting real old, real fast.

You'll get a warp point to skip the first half of it soon.

Yeah, I got that a bit ago. I just wish they would have diversified the dungeon a bit more or made two separate dungeons. The lower levels are just getting annoying now.

I guess it boils down to the entire hourglass thing. I just don't care for the gameplay in that particular dungeon. It's bad enough to be timed, but to add indestructible enemies, invisible enemies, carrying items, chiming floors, platforming, and repetitive floors is just too much. I usually love difficult games but I'm not even finding the Ocean Temple that difficult, just annoying as all get out.
