holy poo, i want your city hall!! *jaw drops*

Haha, yes. City hall is a great place to be, it's very well designed and I've met quite a few famous edmontonians and albertians there. Mayor Bill Smith, Premier Ralph Klein, Leslie Nelson and WWE superstar Chris Benoit.

Let's swap seasons shall we. Enter the cold bitter canadian winter!

These are two pictures taken during the winter of 2007 is a community called Mill Woods. As you can see, it's pretty damn cold. Further emphasised by my awesome winter get-up in the next picture.

It takes a real man to wear a baby blue scarf over his face. Oh yeah.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

i would but my digital camera is broken how ever your not missing that much its mostly trees a few farms here and there a river. the only places of interest is John Greenleaf Whittier Homestead, Winnekenni Castle and The Buttonwoods Museum.

@nightstriker:

It snowed in New Orleans once! I was quite amazed.

@Makingmusic476, Holy smokes! I bet it almost hit 30! That must have been scary. I remember my first time it hit 30. I was born that day.

It's pretty scary how cold things can get up here. I think it hit -56 once in 2004? I can't remember. All I remember is I was caught outside and nearly froze my arm off.

We got a bit of ice on the roads, and the whole damn city shut down!

@makingmusic, I've heard that situation so often. A tiny bit of snow and a city shuts down, I have a hard time imagining it however. Untill I realize that even edmontonian drivers, who have to drive though the snow every winter are prone to making really dumb mistakes and crashing into eachother all the time. I can only imagine how drivers whom have zero or very little snow driving experience must be able to treat the ordeal.

In return. Ice tree.

This picture is not in edmonton exactly, but it happens often and I find it quite breathtaking. I was searching for a picture of a edmonton ice-tree as it happened a year or two ago and I got a good picture of it, however. I must have not uploaded it because I can't seem to find the picture.

That... that's a lotta ice. O_O

Man for lack of better words, that is very pretty.

Alright, last one of edmonton. I'm making that deadmonton comment in the beginning sound sorta null and void if I keep this up.

Same location as the winter photos, but in spring.

Birmingham, UK - It's a nice city, but repeatedly take the piss out of it.

^ The council offices, Nice building in the centre.

^ Brindley place, one of our *sigh* claims to fame is that we have more canals than Venice... only ours are full of dead rats and shit.

^The town hall

It's a nice place to live
