Forums - Gaming - Will The Conduit get ANY reviews 90 or higher?

The Conduit has been pegged to be a AAA FPS on the Wii.  If this is so, shouldn't get at least get a few reviews 90 or higher?  So, my question is, will it get ANY reviews that have it 90 or higher?  Halo 3 did, as did Killzone 2.  So, shouldn't the FPS said to be the best on the Wii get at least ONE review 90 or higher for it?  This might help The Conduit get an average review not in the 70s.

Probably from Nintendo mags and less popular reviewers.

No it won't, we all know it's a good game, but 90's is too much. I will be happy just if there will be more "realistic" reviews, not just some 4 given to the game because... because is a wii FPS, good for wii but not if it was on ps360 blablabla...
More 70-80 scores will give us reason to call this a solid game.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Rol is right. The bar to beat wasn't high on Wii.

On other systems - which are totally overloaded with shooters - you have to have 90's just to be taken seriously.

I'm not saying HVS didn't try, they did, but they are simply not Valve, Epic, or any other developer that's a well established FPS player. Conduit is solid, but not inventive, doesn't push any boundries (except customization on consoles), needs better art & writing direction, etc. It's just not 90's material.

But on the flip side, Wii games don't need high scores to sell millions of copies.

The best FPS on the Wii doesn't automatically mean AAA (90+ on Metacritic). It really was not much of a task to be the best one on the Wii.

The expectations were way to high for the Conduit. I believe they did a good job with the Conduit but they'll need more experience and more talent (better art) to make that AAA game.
Had Retro Studios developed a FPS then I had guessed for 90+ scores.

Without a few 90+ ratings, The Conduit will take a hit on the average, due to reviews like Giant Bomb and Edge, that push the game into the low 70s instead of the high 70s.

It is a great game, but I think most agree it is a 80's game not a 90's one.

I think it's more important for the Conduit to sell well than to get good scores. Then they'll show that there is a market on the Wii for that type of games.

But will scores affect sales to some gamers who only buy high metacritic rated games?
