Forums - Gaming - Anyone buying Lego Star Wars complete Saga? Console choice... ugh.

I'm going to buy this game... Period.  I loved the first two and I'm interested in playing through again with the new content.

I have a PS2, 360, and a Wii.  I'm trying to decide if I want the Wii or 360 version.  There is a gamevideos video showing the wiimote/nunchuck in use and it looks waaaaay to busy.  With the amount of light saber use (wave wii-mote) and frequent use of the force (shake nunchuck), I'm thinking this will be too much.  This time around, I don't think the wii-mote adds to gameplay.  I suspect it is going to make it tedious.  I'll wait for the reviews I guess, but is anyone else planning on buying this game and has both consoles?

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

I'm getting this game and probably getting it for the 360. I thought about getting the Wii version but the remote use doesn't seem that special to me at the moment and I like achievements.

Will by the game for Wii. Loved the first one, didn't play the second so this is a must buy for me (expensive months coming up). I don't have a problem with the motion issues. It's probably just like Zelda TP, which didn't feel like too much, small movements should work. Since the Wii I even feel like sword movements with a button are not totally satisfying anymore. I recently played through Beyond Good & Evil again and really missed the movements. (Ubisoft: Please bring a sequel to Wii!!!)

Also interested in Lego Batman and Indiana Jones.

Easily the Wii version. 10$ cheaper, and I'd love to spaz out on something like Lego Star Wars. For the record, accoridng to GameSpy there are button commands for all the moves in addition to gestures. They just perfered the gestures instead. ;)

Can you play the Wii version with the classic controller or GC one (I really don't know)? If so, go with the Wii version, since you can fall back on those if you don't like the motion control. If not, then you might prefer the 360 version.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

This sounds like a winning argument.

I am getting it for the 360 instead of the Wii for three reasons:

- Online Co-op
- 360 Achievements
- HDTV (I have some larger TVs and Wii doesn't look near as good as 360 on them)

Wii version for sure. As fun as the levels are, it'll be more fun just screwing around duelling my son in the catina with 1:1 lightsaber control.

They are currently both listed at $49 on gamestop's website.  I'll have to wait on the command button confirmation as I don't want to be forced to waggle constantly...  Thanks for the heads up.
