The original trilogy has come to a close, and now we have an expansion, albeit a supposedly substantial one, in ODST, an RTS spin-off in Wars and a new direction in Reach.

None of those 3 titles are likely to hit 10mil; Reach has the best chance but I don't see its opening matching H3 with 3.8 first week nor do I see it having the same legs.

I'll happily eat humble pie if I'm proven wrong, but from where I'm standing (and Montana, judging by the page refresh) it doesn't seem unreasonable to make such an assessment. It's a shame then that you went on auto-pilot and accused me of fanboyism with the latter part of your post.

If Microsoft get into gear I see no reason why a new Halo game (whichever one it may be) can do 10 mill+

and I went into "auto pilot" because its true, your soul purpose to come on this site is to attack the 360 and praise the PS3, you're not capable of anything else.

My post was demonstrably reasonable and moreover within moments an experienced member of the site had already shown a level of support for my view. The logical conclusion can only be that my post was fair and intelligent, rather than slanted and influenced. If you genuinely smell fanboyism in one of my posts then call it out for sure, but right now you're sounding like the boy who cried wolf...

All I ever hear from you is negativity towards Microsoft, why is it I can see most PS3 fanboys on this site can praise Microsoft when needed, talk about stuff OTHER than Microsoft/Sony related and actually engage in decent convo .... but you ..

If I say "I don't think Reach can make 10mil as the main trilogy is complete", it's not an attack on Microsoft. This most recent post of yours ultimately betrays your gross over-sensitivity. Seriously, grow a thicker hide and learn to accept that people can hold views that oppose yours without the former being somehow automatically illegitimate.

The difficulty you seem to have is that you pick a fight when a post seems to you negative when in truth it's only what someone thinks is the most realistic or probable outcome, and surely posting what you think most realistic or probable is the best way to participate in these kinds of prediction threads?

I don't have to apologise or keep my mouth shut just because my belief (say, that Reach won't hit 10mil) conflicts with what you want to see happen.

Hey there is more chance of Reach being <10 mill than over, I don't disagree with most of your resoning, I don't agree with it either, but like I said, there is nothing to suggest Halo has peaked.

Depending on what exactly Bungie is doing with Reach, it could be a bigger deal than people think.

If Natal takes off, the bundled software has a chance of hitting the 10 million mark. Especially if MS bundles Natal with a 360 and a Natal game. And if they are planning on selling them till 2013.

No, that's not how debating works.

You judge a contribution on its merits. It doesn't matter a hang how biased a person is if his post is fair...

If you can't appreciate this, then it's pretty pointless taking this argument any further.
