Halo 3 will probably be the only 1. this is because it has the highest attatch rate for the console. Almost EVERYONE who bought a 360 back before it released bought it for halo 3.

When Activision claimed COD4 sold 7 millions, they only took into account the sales from the top western console-centric countries and very few PC-centric markets: North America, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Benelux. They could've very well done the same for the 13 millions figure, which would basically shrink the retail sales of the PC version tracked because it wouldn't include dozens of PC-centric countries.

Another thing is that I have never seen Activision include or mention the digital sales of their games on anything. So I'm not sure they would make an exception for COD4.

The fact that the numbers come out as only 900k for the PC version should tell you that something's definitely not right. Do you really think that a game like COD4, which was the number 1 PC game for months in both retail and digital top sellers (and still shows up in top sellers sometimes) would sell only 900k?! Hell, let me show you this:

According to NPD:

COD4 was 5th best selling PC game in 2007 in US (383k sold)
COD4 was 6th best selling PC game in 2008 in US (unknown, but probably between 350k-400k)

You're telling me that COD4 sold less than 200k outside of US?! So how do you explain to me how COD4 is the 2nd most played PC game today, according to Xfire?

so CoD 4 sold like 800k in US according to NPD (in 2 years) and it probably sold nothing at all in Japan and you STILL claim, this game sold 10 million worldwide? So you think this game sold 9 million copies in Europe? Come on...

Considering that the 360 supossedly has 5 more years left in it, i would say the following games will or have a very good shot at 10 mill.

Very good chance- Halo: Reach, Modern Warfare 2

somewhat Possible-Modern Warfare, Gears 3, Halo: ODST, GTA4

Hmm, lets see,  Since it took this loooooong for halo to get that mark (probly because the one ring of death) = I have to replace my favorite online game becaused my XBOX 360 scratched my disc.  Its not likely for another game to reach that mark in that systems cycle cause every new is suppose to be better than the last one I played. So I will just have barely enough time to play the new HOTTNESS but I keep going back to..........  HALO 3 !!!  ohwell.  O_0

I agree, I just thought I would throw out a wild card. I think that with the increase of multiplatform games and with the higher price on Newer games increasing the popularity of used games (which don't count as a sale) that the chances are low for another 10 Million seller (especially one that isn't bundled)

I'd say Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Natal bundle.  After that I don't see it happening unless they do a inflate our sales gimmick like Nintendo does with the Wii Play bundle.

How high would sales be of a mediocre shitty game be if you got a free 12 months of Live card in the box.  

Now that I'm on the subject MS should have that as an option for their special editions of the blockbuster games and call it the Gold Plated edition.

He's probably including Steam, which doesn't count anyways since it's not retail.
