But Captain Rainbow and WSR are on totally different scales. WSR is a massive sequel while CR is some really weird niche game. I don't know, maybe they need something different like Nintendogs or Rhythm Heaven, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.
Although, maybe it'll increase the baseline for Wii HW. On GAF someone made a good point that Brain Training DS only bumped like 3k HW (26k to 29k) but the week after was 34k. We'll see what it does next week, etc.
I can see NSMBW moving some good HW though, but I'm more expecting MH3/Tales of Graces/Samurai Warriors 3/Super Robot Wars Neo/FFCC: TCB to help a lot more. Plus we should get some DQ X buzz when they show screens/a trailer (maybe they'll do a DQ VII remake as well?) |
All I'm saying, is you can't say "such and such peaked" based on 1 game and espcially on 1 week of sales. The "causals" are typically not the people who rush out and buy the game day 1. Look at all the casual games and they have huge legs. For all we know, Wii sales could climb every week for the next 10 weeks. Would you then claim that the "casual" market has peaked and that they aren't buying the system?
All I know is anyone who draws conclusions from 1 weeks worth of sales is jumping the gun. Yes, I expected a bigger hardware boost similar to some of the boosts we saw for the PS3, but in no way do I see this as "there are no more 'casual' players left that haven't bought a Wii".
