Forums - Sales - Sinobi: Wii Sports Resort gives Wii hardware a 24% bump (21,000)

much lower than I expected... price cut confirmed!

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

they definately need a price cut now, they'd be too stubborn if they dont

japaneese price cut imcoming

I'm not so sure Nintendo will cut the price...

I don't know about you guys, but I figure if I walk into a store to go buy Wii Sports Resort and a Wii and see a black wii in a picture alongside a black controller and potentially MH3 instead of regular wii sports... I would say to myself, I have waited this long - I can wait another month. I never expected hardware to get that big of a boost from WSR, I just want to see what MH3 does.

Big ouch compared to the FFXIII demo hardware boost. But e can still expect a good long run.

Maybe Sebastian Kramer was right after all.

Who?

Shitty number, the Wii should perform better in the US when Sports Resort releases in here.

Wow, so the casual market did pretty much peak in Japan. That's good, that means Nintendo can now put a lot more focus on core gamers.

actually, if WSR means that casual peaked in Japan, then howcome captain rainbow doesn't mean hardcore peaked in japan? Maybe they need to make Nintendogs for Wii first.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
