Forums - Nintendo - Cursed Mountain: A Survival Horror that can't find a good cover

The first Cursed Mountain Cover

And now ... is even worse.

Looks like one of those old fashioned pulp novels

Yeah, it should have been subtle...But it's way better than the old one.

I think that's the vibe they're going for.
Personally I find it's corniness f'cking awesome, though I'm sure a lot of people will not, and it might even have an impact on sales.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

You're right.. both of those covers aren't good..

They should just have a picture of the village on the mountainside..

how about thast 1st piece of art we saw, that was awesome

And a sillouette of something against the sky perhaps?  From what i've seen so far the environments seem to be the star of the show so i'd like to see them on the cover but then perhaps another element to let us know (besides the title) that there's more to the place than meets the eye.

i buy if it turns out good, that simple. But the 2nd cover at least looks passable. At least its saying IM NOT A PARTY GAME BTW !which is critical for some lesser known wii games nowadays.

Ugh... everyone should stay away from this game. Not just because of the cover but mainly because of the country in which it is developed. You guys aren't seriously considering getting this game, or are you?

Austria? Aren't you Austrian? I don't see why Austria would be bad at making games although Poland apparently is.

The greatest game out of Austria since 1942.

(calm down, its a bruno joke)

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

If you want austrian games to be boycotted just shop Fritzl face on the cover.
