Wow, here's an inspiring video for Carl mainers. That is some combo goodness. Remind me not to get inbetween a good Carl player and his puppet.

By Calamity Triiger, you're probably referring to Astral Finishers. If that's the case, here's what you have to do inorder to pull one off.

  • Both you and the opponent must have under 25% health
  • You must have a full special bar
  • You must succesfully land the hit just like any other move.

So to be frank, it's even more avoidable than destroyers. I've yet to see one performed/attempted in a game between two half decent players.

I'm sure it happens on occasion, but it's a rarity.

Sorry dclKeel, I honestly don't know why Xbox Live has to **** up today. I'm so sick of this kind of thing. I've only had this happen to me once in PSN, and resetting the internet fixed it, but half the time I play with other eastern coasters on XBL it messes up half the time. Saying I'm pissed right now at LIVE is an understatement.

 

@zizzla: Take bbsin's word for it, I've never actually played a Guilty Gear game before. I tried to go by descriptions, but it didn't seem to work out right.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Then I guess only Litchi requires both to be under 20%. I haven't tried it with anyone else, so assumed it was the same. I'll have to try it again to see if I'm wrong with Litchi aswell.

It's just the opponent that has to be under 20% Health. And if for some reason you really hate Astral Finishes, you can look for rooms that disallow them and have your fun like that. Learning to use them effectively is probably a waste of time, like how Lebron staying in Cleveland is a waste of his career.

yeah, I was incorrect, only the opponent has to be under 20%.

But I wouldn't say it's a *complete* waste of time. There are few characters that can link into it ex. Ragna and V13. But still, they don't exist for desperation purposes but rather bragging rights.

I wish I knew how to do those combos.... It seems I can never get Ada to attack with me. I do occasionally, but it's tough.

Yes! That's me with Eddie..Though after 12-13 hits my chains stop...Nice!

You should try to keep in mind that you will probly have to set Ada...(I'm guessing there is a sorta follow/stay command)

and if Ada reacts to you attacks you just need sometime in the training room...
