I liked the voice acting. It was cheesy, but it went with the entire simple story.

But it is. You see much like weakest system of last gen the PS2 was pretty much the answer to all games. The Wii is this gen. ohhhhh wait a minutes. It's NOT THE HARDWARE IT'S THE SOFTWARE. I think you missed something there.

For those who keep saying "stop bitching", ask yourselves this: Why is it that everybody here who has the game keeps saying "it's not the best ever", but that on average people seem to think it's an 8?

Could each person who bought this be wrong?

I didn't have a problem with them rating a 5.5 to Far Cry. That game had serious issues, but was still fun. But nobody was online bitching about it, because it had issues.

And yet here we are with The Conduit, and there is a huge gap between the reviewers and the owners.

It should make you question things...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but it seems like the Conduit has ~74% on metacritc and game rankings right now. Not only, but almost all reviews are within 70-85% mark, with only few reviews dragging them down (a total of two on game rankings, at the moment).7.4 does not seem that much different than an 8.0, at least in my opinion.

Also, why does one group of people thinking a game deserves one score while another group think the samegame desreves a different scrore mean one group is wrong? It was my belief that opinions are entirely subjective. Nobody can have a right or wrong opinion. Personally I think the worst one can have is an ill-informed opinion. But, reading this review it just seems like he just geniuinely does not like the game.

Going back into my first point again, The Conduit is a popular game right now, and most of the people who look into this game like it. Therefore, your generally going to see peole making a big fuss over really bad scores like this one, and it becomes increasingly difficult to realize the many reviews that are giving the game good scores. You see review sites like EDGE and Giant Bomb being posted yet where are the reviewers like CCC and Atomic gamer who are giving The Conuit average scores?

yeah but to most people there is a big difference between a 7.0 and below and 7.0 plus.  The positive reviews are mainly between 7.5-8.6 but the negative ones are 7.0 or below...

Again, personally I think the text matters the most and Gamezone set this all off by posting an obviously biased review with an ok score.  It could be that some of the reviewers are rating this extra harsh in defense of that review...  Certainly, Garnett (1up) was defending it on Twitter...(which was very unprofessional IMO)

Doesn't mean the opinion is informed, well thought out, and reasonable. I can hate apples becuase the sky is blue. That's my opinion. Doesn't make it any less retarded (it's still smarter thern whatever Gerstmann writes).

I already owned the comment section in that review like a day or 2 ago, but if people choose to be blind, it's their own choice =P

As bad as Gamespot can be and was they are better for firing this guy. His reviews were always horrible and they continue to be so it seems.
