i used to own crackdown it was ok for a few hours after that it was all boring.
infamous is just so much more fun to play, terrific audio also.
i get a feeling people are bringing up crackdown, as there was no good exclusive to run side with infamous.
in a nutshel, infamous is the better game and its also new, i mean its better to have a steady stream of new good games to play, rather than rely on past has-beens and just stubbornly stick to that one game instead of enjoying new content all the time.
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
It is a tribute to how good Crackdown was for it to be compared to inFamous (A game released 2.5 years earlier). That said, I think the comparison is apples to oranges for the same reason. Comparing games at different stages of the generation are diffcult.
Crackdown innovated the idea of sandbox gameplay. inFamous has come along and surpassed it to no surprise. I can only hope that Crackdown 2 again sets a new bar and inFamous 2 does the same thing...
That way gamers keep winning. Competition is good. One winner is bad.
the one thing will probably remain true - Crackdown is the best sandbox game in fun factor category so far no game came close. Crackdown is just pure fun i don't mind the fact that it has no story i just love to make chaos on the streets. Crackdown 2 might top it if Ruffian Games will deliver things everyone wants in the sequel which is better car handling and fully destructible enviroment(like in Red Factor).
wonder how will Just Cause 2 play since so far it looks it will be a blast.

You make me LOL. If a game is good, it's good. Sure, you may think Infamous is head and shoulders better than Crackdown and that's your opinion. Sales prove otherwise. Anyhow, as I stated, I played both and noticed a lot of similarities between both games, with Infamous biting Crackdown's steelo.
Unlike you, I see a game for what it's worth - a game. I don't say game X on system Y is better than game z on system A. For you, unless I missed something, if it's a game on the 360, it's lacking, but put the same POC on the PS3 and it's always better.
Thanks so much for your *unbiased* post.
