| Procrastinato said: That 1st racing shot that JaggedSac posted looks cool -- the 2nd one is just a terrain beauty shot, and I don't much care for it (since I know it could have been taken completely out of game "context"). I actually prefer a good track to a good car -- cars can have some decent environment mapping and look good, but most of what I see when I'm playing -- is the track. That's what I want to look good, personally. That track in the first shot JaggedSac posted looks decent... nice lighting really makes the diff. The 360 should be able to have some really high rez lightmapping, and I hope it shows here. |

that is one weird aiming ...
these look far far better than the old "Long hair and beard" demo ubisoft shown before.
I thought people referred to Gears 2 as the game that maxxed out the 360. I am glad to see that the white box has more graphical power. I was beginning to lose faith in my system.
Nice thread.
I'm interested in seeing other forward momentum from Lost Planet 2, Crackdown 2, Halo Reach and other same console sequels. The system obviously has a lot more life in it, which should be no surprise to us at all. The PS2 games kept looking better and better up to God of War II and comparing Resident Evil to Resident Evil 2 is almost night and day.
Consoles get better. The ATI GPU is a beast. 360 has much more to give graphically.

And PS3 fans say 360 fans troll their threads, the first 6 posts in this thread are by well known PS3 fans with not a single negative mention of the PS3 or its games in the op...
OT-
Having just downloaded the Forza 2 demo and watched the Forza 3 videos the difference is immense. I'm really hoping Bungie pull on some of the extra power of the 360 for Halo: Reach. I know they like keeping a simple artistic theme that is a mark of the Halo universe but I can see having more realistic graphics really benefiting this game.
The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Feel free anyone else to post other 360 early to now game comparisons. |
Others? Lost Planet/2 and Just Cause/2 would be good as well, even though they are multiplatform. Don't know if that was a caveat or not.

dude, you are going to get banned if you don't actually start talking about the thread topic.
OT, 360 has come a long way, I think their is a huge difference in the gears games as well.

Yeah me to. Halo Reach has the ability to be more realistic as well. Because it's not essentially part of the Masterchief Halo as such, Bungie can afford to change the look to more realistic because it will be accepted by the fans. So hopefully they really up the anti.

Look the details (both screens are in-game):
