Nope it's an audition for an old launch ad.
I remember the final one where people ran around a city pointing fingers like they were guns and shooting each other.
u mean nintendo playstation EYE or sega camera right?
natal it's actually one of the newest.
@OP
YOur right on the money. Though while not advanced the DSi is INTRODUCING camera input technology to a large portion of the populace. Hmm reminds me when I mentioned months ago that Nintendo will have a 3 piece "sensor bar"(LED IR, Mic/WiiSpeak, Camer). Who ever thought Nintendo would bother with making a camera it's core input technology pretty much missed the point, boat and last in line. It has too many technical limitations relating to motion and angular distance ration.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Look, I'm not going to discuss point by point... you can call it an evolution, whatever! Realkisticaly, in terms of use, the only thing Natal does that Eyetoy can't is to identify different people. Everything else is software (voice recognition, facial recognition, material, so on). But if you want to think it's a complete revolution and you're happy with it, it's fine ;) |
XD you were the one that brought up your cell phone, heck, most cellphones still have buggy VR software, so quite frankly, that doesn't apply here. Also, The eyetoy doesn't have a second camera and therefore, could not "see" in 3D no matter how good the software is. I never said it was a complete revolution. Its quite obviouse that I am saying it is an improvement from my "NATAL is the Eyetoy ON CRACK!!!" statement. See, my point is this, NATAL is VERY different both software wise, and hardware wise, from anything else on the VG market today. It is really just sad that you have to justify the falure that is the eyetoy, by saying "well, it COULD do that." Just because it could do things, doesn't mean it will...or does. So let's stick to what they DO do.

So it's not that different then, awesome, thanks.

...wow, it feels like I'm banging my head against a wall. What part of "Which is VERY different that NATAL." didn't you understand? They are both cameras, that is about where the similarity ends.

Don't you get that the technology is not important? What's important is the use they'll give it. Eyetoy is a faillure not because of the technology, but because of the use they give it. And Natal still as to show to what it was made for (well, unless it is to talk with a kid - sick frightning thing that, of course, won't work as Molineaux said - or to defend balls).
So, what you say about Eyetoy is applied to Natal. It doesn't matter what it can do. I don't want Natal to navigate over the menus. Hell, my problem with Natal is that I don't know why I want it for. Nothing they showed is slightly interesting to me.

If the technology is so unimportant, then why are you arguing about it? It's just stupid to counter my argument by saying Eyetoy could do the things that NATAL does. The fact of the matter is that the eyetoy cannot do the things NATAL does because first of all, it does not have the same hardware, and second of all, it doesn't have the software.
Yes, it does matter what NATAL can do, if it was unable to do things better than the Eyetoy, it would fail because it's just another eyetoy. The fact that you don't want NATAL to navigate the menus is a personal issue and cannot be applied to any argument. thats like me saying "Dang, I don't want Blu ray...so I guess I won't buy a PS3." do you see how stupid and petty that is? And how does that appoly to ANYBODY else?
Now, You have a sick mind my friend, why else would you cry "pedophile" when you see Milo? I mean, do you really think, since you may have fantasies over some little boy in a video game, that everybody else will? Thats just sick!
NATAL was shown to the Press, it worked exactly as it was supposed to (just because it's not true A.I. people are freaking out? WTF) It fools most people into believeing that MILO is an advanced form A.I. It was also shown to play Breakout, and Burnout. MS plans to make Halo and COD playable with NATAL. They will also be puching a lot of cool apps for it. You really shouldn't be underestimating NATAL, you sould end up eating a ton of crow that way.
