I get the feeling this isn't a pirate's safe haven...I sense a dislike of pirates here...

If the game is worth it I buy it. I don't pirate games normally. Last game I pirated was Spore, which I bought, Securom and all (I regret it too). I only pirate software, music, and movies. Most of the time if I like the movies and they are on Blu-ray I'll buy it. And even if the movie isn't all that great if its on Wal-Mart's $10 Blu-ray shelf or on special on Amazon I'll grab it. Music, I doubt anyone here isn't guilty of downloading it. Software, I'll just grab beta software and crap that is unavailable to the public which is why I'm running Windows 7 RC2. I plan on getting W7 Ultimate so no lose to Microsoft that I upgraded to an even better version of their pre-release OS.

Don't care, I don't pirate much anyway and buy whenever I feel the product deserves it. Also, there are other places for pirates and besides, I'm looking forward to seeing what the new TPB will be like. If it lacks DRM and has decent prices, I might actually use it. Those are the reasons I use GOG.com.

Also, to all those crying this is a blow against pirates: Is this really a victory (or a loss, if you're on the other side) when it's not closed by legal means but it's instead bought and possibly just changes to something else, or maybe even stays the same (unlikely)?

Shows you where their priorities are... governments should be much more concerned about the chaos that Somali and other pirates are causing with their multi-million dollar ransoms (not to mention all the violence and killings related to the pirating industry) instead of worrying about people downloading crappy cam shots of new movies so they don't have to waste $10 bucks on crap!

Transformers 2, even with all the digital piracy and poor economy (not to mention bad reviews and word of mouth), still managed over $200 mil over the weekend at the US box office.

And some lady was recently fined $80,000 per song for illegally downloaded music from artists such as Linkin Park, Sheryl Crow, Janet Jackson and Journey... if anything she should have been fined for having such bad taste in music!

Ok, i don't really care about pirating movies, or music. i just don't like people downloading games

OT: I prefer BTjunkie but since Piratebay did host/seed some files its kind of a blow to use pirates. Oh well theres tons more sites. Piracy for the win!
