I have read by changing the difficulty in the first few seconds it should work, well I will just have to wait and see!
Maybe the game just knew you weren't good enough? :p

Nice, let me know how it works out for you. I am 50 shards and 4 stunts away from my 1st Plat. But I am taking a break from all the shard hunting.
I know he's banned, but didn't he consider the fact that everyone who wants the full experience is gonna play twice anyway, once as Good and once as Evil? So even if you do mess up the first time, it's not like he has to do the same exact thing again, he can just play the other story line and get a new experience, while getting the same old trophy...

I think other people have pointed out the problem with this. I got the hard trophy by switching my old save file to hard, then started a new game. That's the best way to do it, I think, since you can be sure that you'll start off on hard.
I'm also disappointed that you'd sell a console over one frustration. I have FFIV Advanced, beat it and had some uber strong guys. I got bored with it, so I decided to start a new save file. As luck would have it, I accidentally saved over my file. Yeah, I was mad. Really mad. Heck, it's taken me years to get back to playing that game. But I didn't sell it. I didn't sell my GBA, either. I kept them both, the game because I did have a lot of fun with it and the system because there are tons of other great games for it that I wanted to play.
I could understand if you were frustrated enough with inFamous to stop playing it. I could even understand if you sold it, since you've beaten the game before. But selling the system, just for this one problem? That just doesn't make sense to me.

That does work, It was how my friend got it. I am wondering if when he got to the point were it prompts you about the game difficulty level he didnt bother looking at what it changed to and maybe he was playing the game on Normal the whole time.
Damn he sold all that and all those games because of 1 trophy? Jesus show some thick skin dont just brake like paper....
