But now you'll be getting all the good new stuff that came out of the Pokémon games in the recent years. Don't you think that's a bit hypocrite (or something like that)?

Not really. I didn't see any "really good" improvement in DP (I don't do wi-fi) other than graphics. I'm just excited for the perspective of a GS with prettier graphics and new areas to explore

Wait, did you stop playing at Red/Blue/Yellow? If you did, you missed A LOT of things buddy.

I don't know what games those two new PKMN games cover.

What do you mean? I've beaten Pokemon Blue, Gold, Sapphire, Leaf Green, and got tired of Diamond in the middle. I certainly didn't stop playing anywhere (other than stop playing Diamond, of course)

Ah, I see.

As for the new features, well, along with the day & night stuff from G/S, they added a five time periods a day which change a few things like the chance of a certain PKMN appearing in certain areas. That adds depth to the gameplay for sure.

They also made some battle tweaks such as grouping moves in three types (Physical, Special and Others). Just a better way to sort moves, it's always good.

And sadly, you don't do Wi-fi, which is a big part of the game. One of the many Wi-fi features is that you can trade with people all around the world and in the Global Trade Station, you can request for certain types if you know some of your friends don't have them. That's the best thing ever since sliced bread!

Oh, and the Pokémon Contests are awesome. It adds more replay value to an already enormous game! o_O

(Yes, I went to Wiki because I haven't played the game for two years.)

@ Smoked: I agree that Ruby/Sapphire didn't bring much to the table, but Diamond felt like a completely new PKMN game. This one brought a lot of cool stuff to the series.

I think Diamond and Pearl are amazing.  Platinum even more so.  I just get upset when people *coughZexen_lowecough* are butthurt to see it.

Also Contests are nice as well Wi-Fi, GTS, The Physical/Special Split and others.

Pixel Art can be fun.

You people do know that the creaters of pokemon are going to run out of ideas right? All pokemon games is really only red and blue uptates. That's all. The difrence? Well its the region. That's all. Same story. I stoped paying attention to pokemon after Diomond. Really its only for people who are new thho the seris. I'll return when they change the story

No, it's not bad that you liked it. ;)

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Nope, of course not. It's not a wonder or anything similar, but it's a good game, that's for sure

The idea of powerful women scares people and that fear is tunneled into hate and anger towards it.

Super Mario Galaxy. At the risk of getting a tomahawk thrown at me, I think the game was too significant, magical, and iconic to be followed up with a sequel. I would rather have seen a whole new Mario game, set in a new location and with completely different things to do.

Wait for the game to come out first.  Everything I've read about it makes it seem better than the first one.  And the sequel will not hurt the image of the first one if it doesn't live up to the legend.  Look at Super Maio World and Yoshi's Island.  SMW is still near the top of the list for 2D platformers.

What are you saying?  Yoshi's Island was an amazing game.

I don't think he said it was a bad game, but he did say that Yoshi's Island didn't hurt Super Mario World's image even if it wasn't as good as SMW. I think anyone can agree with that (or at least the novelty factor).

Look at the VC charts.  Clearly people love SMW.

Anyway, just to say it again, Montana couldn't be any more wrong.

Oh my god, did nobody read? How many mainline Mario games (Super Mario 64, Sunshine, etc.) have had direct sequels only a couple of years later? And how many of them were good? You couldn't be any worse at comprehension.

Let's see now...

Final Fantasy 7 , X
Mega Man X5
Mortal Kombat 2
Fallout 2 (or Tactics)
Elder Scrolls: Morrowind
Any Crash game after Team Racing
Earthworm Jim 2
Jak 3

Knights of the old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
