Bah, I guess that's because it is a 78 on Metacritic. Never thought it was that low. Such an amazing and well received game.

I know you are trying to give a "current market" outlook, but all of the 360's big 2009 games come at the end, while the PS3 has had a few already.  That and 2008 was a great year for quanitity of titles on PS3, but not 360, while 2007 was the opposite.

If you are just doing a sales comparison you may as well use all exclusives regardless of meta rating.

I guess no matter how you make it, you can't please everyone, and it is good that you acknowledge you left out some important titles that would drastically change the picture.  Maybe you could do 3 sets?  One with how you have it, one with all meta ratings included from 2008, and one with everything included from the launch of the consoles?

In any case, if you include 2007 games this list is vastly different.

I appreciate the concern regarding to omission of 2007 and 2006 data. My reasons for doing this were stated in my previous post. It's very difficult to compare these consoles because the 360 released 12 - 18 months before the PS3. The 360's data in 2006-2007 is very impressive, and I don't want to discount it by starting at 2008.

Some responses:
Lost Odessey is at 78 on metacritic.
Halo 3 will break 10 million soon, but it released in 2007.
I'll take a look at changing the Metacritic to 75 and post if it changes significantly.
