Forums - General - Under-21 football world cup final (England Vs Germany)

Well done Germany.

To be fair though, I would have won whatever team won tonight, being 1/2 English and 1/2 German.

Let me show you why they call me the velour fog. Hit it.

I met her in a club down in old Soho,

Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like coca cola,

C-o-l-a, cola.

She, walked up to me and she asked me to dance,

I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said;

Leela, L-e-e-l-a, Leela, Lee, Lee, Lee, Leela

Leeeeeeeelaaaaaaaa

looks like it

und ja das ist der Monaco

I've always wondered why England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland fieled their own teams instead of making a stronger single team. Germany doesnt have a Bohemian or Saxony team. Spain doesnt have a Basque, Aragonian, or Catalonian team. France doesnt have a Occitanian or Brittany team.

Come on you Brits, play as Great Britian!

I cant think of a single non English player who would get in a Great Britain team. Why would we want inferior countires to get all our glory. It would just give the Welsh a reason to boast and we all know with the rugby thats never a good thing

This team is called Czech Republic nowadays and wouldn't consider itself a part of Germany

But as to your approval: I think 50 mio. inhabitants should be enough to form a decent team even without the 10 mio. of NI, Scotland and Wales...

My bad, I meant Bavaria.

And I'm sure the Scots are tired of sucking :)

You could field a decent goalkeeper (Craig Gordon)

I think that beside there won't ever be any Great Britain team, the single federations are doing not too bad:

Northern Island messed up the qualification to the Euro just because they became to nervous and are now second in a group (in placement order) with Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia and San Marino. Problem is, that they play against the three top teams in their last three games.

Wales is kind of hopeless, the closest they came in the last 20 years was probably, when they lost against Germany 1989 in the qualifiers. This World Cup they're nearly out due to, that they're fourth in a group with Germany, Russia and Finnland, Azerbajan and Liechtenstein. Still a shame, that Ryan Giggs never had the chance to experience a international tournament.

Scotland qualified for the WCs 1990 and 1998 (if I remember right) and has a fair chance this time. The Netherlands are already qualified with 21 points from 7 games. Behind that it's a tough fight between Scotland (7 points) Macedonia (7P) Iceland (4P) and Norway (3P) for the play-off-place. Not out of reach, but Scotland still has to face the Netherlands in the last game (3 games to go).

England has qualified for most of the tournaments and I would say, that a WC or Euro isn't as great, if they're not there. Long live the fun rivalship between Germany and England

Just realised i wrote world cup... I meant European cup and boy did we get spanked

A spaniard scored there first and a Turk scored there second. They really need to sort the system out. They need to do the play for where your born rule. Or the current live in the country for 3 years and then you are that nationality, they shouldnt do both. I guess i shouldnt complain as Nedum onuah and Gabriel Agbonlahor are Nigerian but there you go.
