Yea, they're under contract. If one gets delayed they both get delayed.

It depends on the original agreement between take 2 and MS. We know there was a deal that made sure the PS3 version couldn't be released before the 360 version but we don't know any of the clauses in the contract and we don't knwo what kind of deals have been made since then.

MS could certainly sue Take 2 but I doubt they could destroy them. 

IF and this is a big IF it is true, the 360 just lost a ton of sales.

OK, if there is GT4 IV + PS3 399$ then YES PS3 will kill Xbox360

we know that GTAIV was delyaed because the game was clearly UNSTABLE

we dont know if there was 1 version better than the other (more stable than the other).

==> is the Xbox360 suffering because of the lake of BR explaining why the game was pushed back in 2008.

==> is the PS3 devellopment so late that the PS3 game will only be ready in 2008.

In other term : IF one version is ready to release, we dont know which one it is.

Stauntan island was taken out of GTA 4 because there was no blu-ray. If they do make a $399.99 + GTA 4 bundle which there is only a 2% chance of it happening. Then PS3 DOMINATION begins.

And the thing is, would MS really want to sue a company that makes one of the more popular games that have released in recent times? That would be something that could make Rockstar/Take 2 decide to say hell with MS and never release another game on their system. That would be something that they'd shoot themselves in the foot big time if they did that. Even though Halo sells big numbers, it's still not GTA type numbers.

If true, man, that would really take the steam out of the 360 for the holiday season. Toss in the rumored $399 PS3 and they will be hard pressed to keep any of them in stock. I do hope it's true, only so that I can actually get GTA and play that sooner, rather then later.

If they are contractually obliged to release both versions on the same date, then why would Microsoft let them off the hook and release it earlier? This delay really helps Microsoft. First, it takes a triple AAA title out of the Sony lineup this Christmas, second it makes the market focus on other titles so knew IP like Mass Effect will get more attention, and third it gives Microsoft a AAA release that will have exclusive episodes about the same time as KZ2 and MGS4... I don't think Microsoft would give those up very easily.
