It does have bugs, but I have not experienced anything terminal. I think the main thing that they should have worked on is animations in cut-scenes

I agree. I always find myself stuck in the weirdest places because of bugs.
The prison yard probably has the most bugs I've encountered though.
can't wait for Track Season 2009/2010, guna beast out!
Travis Touchdown ERECTION CONFIRMED!

There's an autosave so unless you've been screwing around for hours trying to get XP you should not lose anything important upon freezing

Oh thank the heavens, I just booted it up and it's saved up to that last mission I did. It sucks that I have to go through that whole mission again, but that's 20 minutes compared to two hours.
Some in here are questioning wether this game "really" has bugs or if mine is messed up, but it really does. I think it was 1up's podcast where a guy was talking about it and said that in the course of him beating it, it locked up on him three times in addition to other little quirks. It's a great game, it's a ton of fun and very addictive, but my god man, it needed a bit more time in the oven.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Bug free games may not exist (though i bet some do.)
However plenty of games don't have bugs that lock up your game.
Hell plenty of games don't have bugs that the average player will find unless he goes looking for them.

Sandboxes always have holes
And ps3's also tend to freeze when using the browser, the chat, popping up the XMB while in game, using custom soundtrack, blabla ....
yeah I said it before this game could have used a couple of months of polish and testing. I had many bugs, especially in the prison so I hope they tweak the engine more in the next game.

Most open world games have a lot of glitches. If you're not saving often you deserve to lose your progress. inFamous did lock up on me once too in like 35 hours of gametime. Not saying it gets a free pass but if you've been gaming for more then 5 minutes you should expect a glitch here and there in an open world game.
Thank goodness for autosave.
Glitches are a common thing for sandbox games. inFamous is keeping that tradition going
