Forums - Nintendo - I'm in a gaming slump; Say what Wii games I should be excited for and why

Why are you in a slump in the first place? Is it a money issue? Frankly, looking at the paltry 10 games you have for your Wii, I don't know why you feel the need to even have this topic unless you're seriously that uninformed about it's lineup. Why don't you just go to the store and buy one of the dozens of other quality games you don't currently own?

@ _RKO_: What?! It's a good movie... Though it does kinda throw series canon out the window in favor of non-stop action...

@ Topic: I think noname pretty much covered it, but it's pending releases for the DS that I'm excited for... sneezethreefiveeightovertwodayssneeze... coughGoldenSuncough... I think I may be a little under the weather here... belchHeartGoldandSoulSilverbelch... Excuse my gas...

I swear to God everytime someone calls MH an RPG a little piece of me dies inside.

Same things happens to me and Zelda, ya get used to it ^^

Same thing happens to me every time someone equates role-playing to leveling up characters, but that's me.

To be on topic:

Well, what do you like? Your collection isn't bad. Do you like hard games? Strategy games? What?

Yes yes, RPG's are about playing a role, every game is an RPG and there's no way to define them.  gotcha.

...

These are the upcoming games I am paying attention to for Wii:

Tales of Monkey Island
Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures
A Boy and his Blob
Little King's Story
We Ski and Snowboard
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
The House of the Dead: Overkill
Wii Sports Resort
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Sin And Punishment 2
Arc Rise Fantasia
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Endless Ocean 2: Beautiful Ocean
Kizuna
Cursed Mountain
The Conduit
Mario Galaxy 2
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Metroid Other M
Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars
Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo
Dragon Quest X

It is up to you to decide which ones you want to pay attention to yourself.  Just look up a list of Wii upcoming games and take a look at some game footage for them.  Then when they come out, buy which ones you thought looked fun.

What games do I like? I mean, thats a tough question. I think it's easier to say what genres I don't like. Racing, Sports and Rail-shooters.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Here are a few of the games you should go out and play now to get out of the slump.  Why waste time about worrying about future games.  You can get excited for them when they are out.
