Forums - Nintendo - C+ is a 58??

Well, I was just checking out Metacritic just 'cause I was bored, and they have one review for the Conduit from 1up as a 58. I was shocked at the score, so I followed the link and saw a big ass C+ next to the review. To me, a C+ is high 70ish, so, am I missing something here?

 

 

Oh, and if this has been made already just lock it.

I guess they don't use school standards to grade. 1-20 F____ 21-40 D____ 41-60 C ____61-80 B ____ 81-100 A

That gradeing scale is incomplete. How will A, A+ and A- will do huh?

A- is 81.   A is 90  A+ is 100 :p or something like that

Yes, Metacritic's way of converting letter grades is horrible.

C+ is a 67 - 72 at my school. I think in any system, it is higher than 58...

Just to clarify my above statement, A.V. Club gave Ghostbusters: the Video Game a B- which you would think is a good score, right?

Not according to Metacritic, a B- is a 67/100.  It sucks.

If I see a B-, I'm generally going to think that's not a bad game at all.  If I see a 67, I think that's probably not a good game and should probably steer clear of it.

C+ is above average, converting it to numbers is debatable, but most will agree C = 70.



 

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.
