Forums - Sony - SCEE: PSP-Go Takes Advantage Of Early Adopter "Premium"

Sounds like SCEE confrimed what Pachter said.
Which would make him right.
Which is why he had to retract it.

ok. I just almost destroyed my computer with soda when I read that. awesome.

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

You can get a class 6 (6MB per second read) SD card for $30 on Newegg. Considering there would be no margin for Newegg and no margin for the make/brand the cost to install would have to be a little less than $20 if not as low as $10-$15.

Tease.

Early adoptors always get screw ... I think Sony really lost a chance to at least recapture some of the market share with PSPGO. That $249.99 price point is just crazy. Oh well I still have a PSP1000 to play GT Mobile.

Current PSP sells for $170 and a 16 gig M2 memory card sells for $80. If you add those 2 numbers you will get $250 which is what the PSP Go sells for. The fun fact is not correct.

That's why the fun fact has links. The PSP is $170, and the 16 GB card is $73, making it $243. (Numbers have been rounded up a few cents.)

Wow, you just proved that its not just Microsoft that screws people with proprietary memory prices! That same flash would cost $30 in the SD format so that must mean Sony are raking in almost 200% margins.

Tease.

Fun Fact: I can buy a 16GB memstick Micro for ~ 95$ from amazon and have a 32 GB PSPGo.
Total = 345$

Cost of a 32GB PSP3000??? At best you can find a 16GB cards for 60$ the adapter need is 5 bucks minimum. Then there's the $170 PSP. So that's 295 as your lowest deal....

I'm still getting the Go

And for those of you thinking "PSP3000 with 32GB?? WTF!!!" It's actually 29, but meh

Here you go

nintendo still makes both wii and ds for profit. They are also taking advantage of the customer.
Gimme a break. Every company does this.

The reply above yours has the link to a $45.00 16gig Pro Due..

You can find cheaper, and by the time PSP-Go comes out there will be even cheaper ones.

So they know is not more expensive to make and that it is a ripoff and all they are saying is "we are charging more because we can"?
