Man the Wii is going to kill the PS3 in the summer. But after September its all over. Sony domination with price cut and final fantasy and gran turismo.

That's pretty crazy how much it's up.  I wonder if there will be able "Japan drives trends" threads describing the future doubling of sales WW for the 360?

PSP is doing pretty good in Japan. I just can't wait to see what the sales in Japan will be when Dragon Quest X is released.

how come 360 is selling more software than ps3? looks like japanese love their 360s.

Don´t kid yourself. PS3 will no doubt do very good with the slimversion (when it´s released, we don´t know yet if it´s this year) + Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo but Nintendo has new games after the summer as well. Two gigants are New Super Mario Bros Wii (2d Mariogames are huuuge in Japan) and Wii Fit Plus (followup to the biggest selling game on consoles this generation in Japan well soon best selling after it overtakes Wii Sports).

Add to those two gigants games like Mario & Sonic, Tales of Graces, Resident Evil DC and Samurai Warriors 3 coupled with the fact that Nintendo always does great during the holidays and Nintendo will hands down beat Sony this year save for a couple of weeks when Final Fantasy releases and one or a few weeks when Slim releases (if it does this year). Nintendo will most likely win in Japan hands down this year.

Attach rate is pretty meaningless when install base is small I'd have thought.  If a console really takes off and gets to PS1/PS2 heights I'd argue it also gets pretty meaningless.

360 has definately gained a toehold in Japan it would seem, though.  Cost a heck of a lot in exclusive content, etc. but MS do seem to have forced some live into their systems in the region finally.
