because y-koron almost never posts. I happened to remember him in my guess of 5 people.

He doesn't ever post or even respond to comments in the Famitsu posts. I remember he was much more active last year with the "Upcoming Games in Japan" where he gave shipment numbers and dates.

He responded when I posted. Maybe he has a busy schedule recently.

Yeah, there are only a few people living in Japan who post here on VGC, that I've noticed. I don't even post as much as I did last year. Though, I do try and check out the latest VGC numbers when I can.

Anyway, new hardware/colors usually results in at least a boost for whatever it is that comes out. For example, when the new PSP 3000 colors were released I bought a Red one for my gf as a present and took her old blue PSP 1000 for myself, since I didn't have a psp. If I were to buy a DSi, I would definitely wait until a color that I liked would be released and buy that. (Though I have a DS Lite already, so it would still be a while before I would think about getting one ;-p )

New colours are usually made available to coincide with a big software launch, which can act as a catalyst to stir up demand.

What i noticed living in Japan is Japanese like new things. they have a thing for gadgets.
But it seems that they are quickly bored with their purchases and sell them second hand, then comes the stingy forein bastard (me :p) and buy it.

Wow ... that makes absolutely no sense. I had to really think hard for a moment to figure out what you wanted to say, and that would have been impossible without context. What translator were you using? It must be really crappy at English to Japanese if it has trouble with a very common phrase like "I like ..."
